INTRODUCING THE FUZZCHATS:

If you look carefully you'll notice these little characters somewhere behind the bar or wherever they choose to set up home in the Clubhouse. They are the Fuzzchats... and they like going on holiday and having lots of fun!

The dark-haired babe on the left is a groovy bubblegum chick, while her more serious sporting brother in the middle takes his golf clubs everywhere. The little blonde just likes having fun in the sun.

We want them to travel the world - so please take one of them away with you and bring back a photo of a Fuzzchat in a foreign land. Oh, and they need names, so pop a note in the Suggestion Box.

SATURDAY 28th July was another fabulous day up on Epsom Downs for the Club's mixed-bag of golfers as they competed for the Texas Scramble Trophy.

This year a total of 33 players took part in seven teams of four and one of five, resulting in a successful trophy defence for team captain Paul Harris.

On this occasion Paul (pictured above receiving the annual trophy from his brother and Club President Keith Harris) was helped to another slender victory by Dave Woods, Jeffrey Richards and Mike McIntyre.

There were prizes too for the Longest Drive (Lawrence Kent, below left) and Nearest-the-Pin (Gary Howlett, below right).

The Texas Scramble really has taken off as one of the big sporting events in the Club year. Some very well-considered team selection by the two Harris brothers, a tight competition with laughs along the way, and the WAGS bringing glamour to the food finale and prize presentation at the Clubhouse, made this year's event another absolute cracker.

Bring on 2008!

Line Dancing at the Epsom Common Club has been going now for two years or more and regularly attracts about 20 dancers. It's a small group that's more than happy to welcome beginners and/or more experienced dancers who enjoy the music, the dancing, the exercise and making new friends. The emphasis is on fun in a local club atmosphere, and if you come and join us we hope in time that you will also consider joining our Club on the Common. There's one great bonus for newcomers... it's absolutely free other than a

£1 guest fee. It's a great way of trying out the Club,

so why not come and make some new friends.

Just turn up on the night or call Jackie on

01372 723132 to talk about it first.
