Dear Members, As you are all acutely aware the Club is, along with most retail outlets, struggling to match outgoings with income. Although we are in a better position than most, by virtue of the fact that we have no large debts to service, we still need to generate more income. We realise that many members are also feeling the effects of today’s economic crisis and that more frequent visits to the Club are currently not an option. In an effort to generate more income as a “no cost” option to our members we have recently registered with a fundraising organization that IS USED BY MANY Charities, sports associations and Clubs such as ours. To this end, all of you who use the internet to search for information and those of you who buy articles on-line please support your club by; (A) Using the link below as your main search engine; Every time you search via this portal, after having found and entered the club as your desired cause, the club will receive a donation. Albeit a very small one but if we all use this site and nominate the club every time “pennies will make pounds”
(B) When buying items via the internet please use the following site; http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/epsomcc. Once again you will need to find and support the Club, via the drop down box, and you will have to register your name and E-mail details in much the same as many sites require you to do before you purchase items from them. We realise that many people are nervous about registering with sites they know little about but the site contains links to many of the larger on-line retailers such as Amazon, John Lewis, Asda, B&Q etc and is used by many large organizations to raise funds. (Our link was via “Dogs Trust” (Formerly “canine protection league”) Please view the site and once satisfied, register via the link, the sooner you do and then start using the site, the sooner the Club receives much needed funds at absolutely no cost to yourselves. March 2011 Dear Members,
Your Club is considering celebrating the forthcoming Royal wedding with a “Street Party” on April 29th. Ideas so far are the format would be similar to most street parties in that, bring some goodies in the way of food, club will no doubt reciprocate in supplying food as well or maybe a BBQ??
If weather is against us then the party would move indoors.
We need to gauge the amount of interest ASAP and any ideas that members might have would be appreciated.
If you are interested please put names (and numbers in party) on the notice in the club and suggestions in the box.
As time is short we need to know if there is sufficient interest to make it worthwhile so please act now if you would like to participate.

The Committee January 2011 Make 2011 the year you resolve to use your club more join in one of the organised events or come down for a relaxed evening. Just one extra evening a month will help Your club.
December 2010 Membership Renewals Dear Members, As you are all acutely aware VAT increases as from January next year. Membership subscriptions are subject to this Tax but historically the club has paid it to the nice tax man with no further liability to our members. A decision has as yet to be made as to if, and how much, this will affect your subscriptions but It has to be said that with the financial problems that beset the club at present it is highly likely that the VAT will now be an extra “add-on” You can beat this, however, as renewals are starting this week. From; Tuesday 14th December to Thursday 23rd December, EXCLUDING THURSDAY 16TH, from 8.30 P.M to 10.00 P.M. (2030 to 2200) you will be able to renew your subscriptions at the current prices. The dates for the January renewals have not yet been set but notification will be sent via E-mail and posted on the notice board as soon as the dates and times are available. P.P. The Committee.
